After a reinstall of Windows today and installing Apache2/PHP/mySQL for the 12-millionth time on my local box I thought it mght be useful to keep a track of what I did every time to get it up and running. I've never been fan of pre-configured packages as they tend to be hard to upgrade and I like messing with my local server, so I have always done it this way. This file shows you exactly what to do to install Apache2, PHP, mySQL and phpMyAdmin, and also how to use a .htaccess file to secure your local server to anyone with a valid username/password.
