Yes. After 30 days the settings are restored. Settings can be found in the cookie.js file. In the folder 'js' is a file cookiecloud.js with a different css style... If possible, make the test please .
To make it better you may want to move the message (top of screen) to the lan files (English and Polish so far) so translators can create more language versions
With our site the plugin is in conflict with jQuery. For example the ppgallery [-link-] doesnt´work correct. After removal of Cookies 0.1 everything worked OK.
Just so you're aware the plugin doesn't guarantee complete compliance with EU law as this is dependent on each EU country - for some this approach is sufficient (i.e. United Kingdom), whilst for others they still require more, i.e. you need to list which cookies you have and what they are being used for and present this before you get consent...
You are right but displaying information is only an example. You can change this information in cookie.js file and add info about the type of used cookies etc...
Indeed, that's a good example. The BBC is often reported in Brussels has having good practice in this regards too. For those of us based in Europe, and especially those of us operating commercial sites. The following page could make for useful reading: [-link-]
I wonder if it would not be good for this plug-in to be modified to offer similar feature as the one found on this website - I think it offers full compliance across the whole of the EU market.
Are there any settings for cookies 0.2? I am using the Vanilla theme 1.2.1 and while the cookies bar shows in admin, it doesn't show in the normal user view. I have easy gallery and event calendar loaded but everything else is working. Any ideas?
Hi Dave, I think it's the way the header is setup in the Vanilla Theme, and I also noticed that the cookie bar is set to absolute, top 0 left 0, perhaps I could change this to drop the cookie bar below the header?
