I'm pleased to announce the release of the e107Slider Plugin.

The plugin has 2 lightweight, responsive slider menus, one for custom slides and one for latest news items.

It is currently in beta and will be added to e107plugins when stable enough. I'm keen to get feedback and suggestions for improvements in the meantime. It is available for download from Xen Themes now.

The plugin is on Github, please raise an issue on Github to make suggestions or report bugs.

Enjoy!

Nicely done, e107 badly needs more of these...

You kinda pissed on my fireworks though lol.. I started making a plugin almost identicle using a slider from dynamicdrive.

Good work, saved me some time, and im sure many will appreciate this.. I will have a play around with it when I get time..

Regards
Andy

From what I could grasp e107 v.2 will be having it's own slider plugin, based on camera jquery. Maybe you can work on a intermediary version for v.1 which on upgrade to v.2 will be compatible with e107 above mention slider. Just an idea

Instead of creating another thread, I am bumping up this one.

I am having some issues using the image slider. I have two images both same size, I have added a caption for both to test it out, but it is only showing the first letter and nothing else. Anyone have this similar problem or having any suggestions?

Id like to add, I also have issues getting the news slider to work, it shows the box, just no news.

I can also see a problem.

When I want to style the text-caption with the bbcode in the image slider. nothing happens in the text-caption, but it seems to point at the image-caption

Well, I guess according to roofdog on xenthemes.com. He and others can't seem to fix the problem with e107slider and e107. e107 was released as beta and does some funny things/issues to be worked out. Unfortunally I don't have a know how to do this so I am unable to use this slider.

Looks great - doesnt play nice with the Newstatic premium theme I purchased off roofdog though.

The "next" control drops below the caption.

And also the slider is not encapsulated by the menu border.

Do you need a screenshot to demonstrate this? apreciate it is still in beta.

Otherwise a very nice plugin.
