Helpdesk plugin problems

I have tried the helpdesk3.04 plugin from Father Barry, but nothing works.

I get the following error:
The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

So I can not get to the configure plugin page nor to the main plugin page.
Running the latest e107 v1.0.1

Any Ideas what could be wrong?

Is there any other similar plugin for FAQ and/or helpdesk stuff available?
