Hi All, I really need your help, please.
I installed a new fresh e107_v1.0.1 and fail, wiht an existing mysql db. The installation was fine but i only get a blank page and cant´get to the admin area.

I did the follow things:
1. I checked the config.php file and at the end of it there are no ?> characters
2. config.php file sets to 644
3. Deleted install.php file
4. Installation used English language
5. I think read all the howto´s and related information to solved the problem by my self but now i´m stuck

I think i tryed everything but i dont´now what are i missing. The URL of my site is [-link-]

Another thread sais that the install.php file neither have the ?> characters at the end of the file. I add them in config.php and install.php and nothing.

Thanks in advance

I have installed it on 2 sites in the past week with no issues so can only assume that all the files didn't upload correctly for you

Sorry I missed this. A blank page means e107 is experiencing an error and throws up a blank page for security reasons so others cannot see what the error is about.

Use the e107 debug browser addon ( [-link-] ) to find the error. Reply back here, and we'll help you out.

My first guess would be either missing or corrupted files, like Dave mentioned.

Thanks Moc:
Yes i chekered the files, but i´ll check them all again. I decompressed the .zip in the server.
Yes again i know that a blank page is for security reasons.

Thanks again

Far better to de compress locally and FTP the files up ensuring that your FTP program is set to 'overwrite'

@mabosss: What above the first piece of advice I gave? Run the debug addon to find the error and we can give direct instructions instead of guessing around

Hi Guys:
OK, i iniciate all new installation: I deleted my public_html file in the server and transfer via FTP all the files.

Installation was fine, but again blank page... can´t access to admin area.
I ran the debug in [-link-][debug=all+] about 30 mins. ago and still waiting.

Your website shows these errors:

Warning: include(e107_plugins/search_menu/languages/Spanish.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory, Line 21 of /home/rcvina/public_html/e107_plugins/search_menu/search_menu.php

Warning: include(e107_plugins/search_menu/languages/Spanish.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory, Line 21 of /home/rcvina/public_html/e107_plugins/search_menu/search_menu.php

Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening 'e107_plugins/search_menu/languages/Spanish.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php'), Line 21 of /home/rcvina/public_html/e107_plugins/search_menu/search_menu.php

It seems that your website is functioning ok now though. Check the search menu language files
As for next time; debug using your link such as http:// www. rcvina.com/news.php ? [debug=everything+]all (without the blank spaces in between the http and www )

I didn´t include them because i want to be sure wasn´t language problem.

Another cuestion. How long time take the debug in obtain those warnings??

It just takes a couple of seconds, if you browse to the link I gave in my previous post you'll see

Jep, just upload the language files of the search menu and you'll be fine

Yep. On the blank page run the debug and scroll down to the bottom. Find the errors and warnings and report back here so we can guide you further. Notices are important to look into it and potentially fix but are not vital to run your website so focus on errors and warnings at first.

I'm assuming you're still missing some language files.
