I am using gmail as an SMTP service on my e107 site (www.msvcr.com) and I have a problem that when anybody uses the contact form plugin OR the simple contact.php their email address is 'lost' & replaced with the gmail acct email address...result is that I can never contact the original sender (which rather undermines the point of a contact form!)
I use the gmail SMTP as I send a newsletter each month and my webhosts SMTP limits me to a very slow rate of sending & limited numbers/day.
I don't think this is an e107 bug, more an anti-spam feature of the gmail SMTP... but anyway, I ask if anyone has got an idea of how to get the senders email field into the body of the message or any other way to preserve this info....
