Hi all,

My welcome message has always had: [php] include ("file.php"); [/php]. The new .7.26 rc1 doesn't recognize the code. Not only that but there's no options in the preferences for:

"Activate use of [php] bbcode:"

Is it still possible to use php includes? I see in the wiki that the php bb code is gone. I am just wondering how to use includes without it? <?php doesnt work either?>

I guess the better question would be, how can I hard code an include into the welcome message? I am not sure where that file is stored.

For security reasons the PHP BBCode was deprecated in 0.7.26.

Your best bet would be to create a new menu area in your theme and insert a custom menu item in it.

If you write the menu in a text editor and upload it. You cannot use the built-in menu creator to add PHP code to your menus/pages.

edit: typos. I just got a smartphone and got use to it correcting my mistakes for me. Further proof texting makes you stupid.

e107_plugins

the file needs to have _menu.php in the file name

It won't show in the plugin list, but will appear in admin>>menus to be enabled in any of your themes {MENU= } areas
