ok thanx.. so changing it from 0 to 8 (i.e after adding a user or unstick a thread) ís a not a bad behaviour in handling this security issue? (i know it´s not a elegant one, but at least, it works!)

It would be a temporary solution indeed, but you should really try to debug (together with us to help where needed) the issue, so we can solve it permanently for you!

first my appologies as I posted this in the bugtracker without realizing to post here. I have upgraded 2 sites on the same server with no problem (yet anyhow, lol) but on a fresh install on my server I have ran into a bit of error and now stumped at the latest....a few broken forums.

Server Info

On fresh install I encountered this error:

Stage 7 - Finalising Installation

e107 was unable to create all of the required database tables.
Please clear the database and rectify any problems before trying again.

MySQL Reported Error:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'TYPE=MyISAM' at line 6

changed 'TYPE=MyISAM' to 'ENGINE=MyISAM' fixed it.
the same with plugins, forum, pm and was one other.

Now the forum is where we are having some problems causing the site to hang and then Internet Explorer cannot display the web page or The connection was reset, in FF.

After posting we are unable to access that section any longer. It is similar to a bug thread where it was a e_parse_class error but I have changed them out too no avail as it is still continuing to happen.

I am becoming completely frustrated over the whole situation. I figured since it was running great on the other 2 upgrades that this would be fine and should have just waited for a complete stable php5.3 release where I wouldn't have to change files to install, my own fault.

Just remembered about the edit button, so sorry... this is now fixed with the latest tarball of the downloads.

ok... installed the latest tar ball in a different dir and it installed with no errors.
Only plugins are creating no tables

Just remembered about the edit button, so sorry... this is now fixed with the latest tarball of the downloads.

After editing the plugin db installs to meet my php/mysql version and then installing the plug in...so far only the forum has been installed

I seem to be running great.

Now we appear to be getting quiet abit of the PHP Errors at the bottom of some pages.

When I add a new banner through the admin page it is not re-directing correctly to the website which is entered. For some reason it is changing the "http://" part to a strange code. Someone having this same issue? I only can work-around this issue by entering it correctly in the database itself, then it works.

Another issue I have since 0.24 is that my banner_menu banners are not changing place anymore. I have campaigns setup that are called rolling001 untill rolling057 and in earlier versions those 57 little 120x60 banners were changing by itself. Some kind of dynamically changing banners.
I would like to know if it's possible to have this again, as I would like all advertisements to be on different places every time a page is refreshing.
It did work in earlier versions by editing the banner_menu on the menu page and editing the banner_menu in the admin area.
For some strange reason it doesn't work anymore as it did before.

Hope someone is able to help me out!

Hi Guys,

Im new into this so maybe you can help me,
I installed 0.7.25 following instructions - all nice and good, changed permission on folders etc.
It installed ok,
Now,
i logged in as admin, went to admin area and wanted to use file inspector to check if all is good,
Ran a scan and i got msg that in admin folder one of the corer files failed - file name core_image.php - so i replaced it on the server - the same issue, i downloaded rar file from web again and replacexc file again - the same.

But there is bigger problem, - for example - when i want to delete welcome msg i got error Access Denied, and i can really chage anything from admin area cos im getting that error msg.

I thought - 0.7.24 should have that - so try to install it but than get mysql error - tried many combination and there was alway the same error, so i installed 0.7.25 again and there is the same situation.
Core file failed and Access Denied error is back there.

Any idea what should i do to fix it ?
I appreciate any help.

IGNORE the core image file fail, there isn't an up to date one in RC versions

It will be generated when v0.7.25 eventually goes live

Have you tried simply making the welcome message 'inactive'?

I have just built a new install using rc1 with no problems

It doesnt matter what if i try to dellete or make it innactive, it is the same - access denied
and maany many more options give me the same error,
i will get back home and give it a good go and let you know when exactly it happens.

FYI, in README.txt it says 0.7.24 -> 0.7.24 Upgrade Guide. Not that we don't understand the upgrade is to 0.7.25, but just to mention it.
