Will try it later, just wanted to say that I think the developers are doing a great job. Especially regarding the access denied issues; I think this release will solve many issues (thanks to bugfixing and re-coding)

Thanks for the effort guys!

I am absolutely impressed with the way this update is being handled! Just read the wiki page with all the info.
Congrats guys!
If this is how you are going to handle things going forward then you are absolutely on the right track at last.

Thanks guys for the release, testing now on 2 of my own live sites. However was wondering if Is it possible that an upgrade version is released aswell, rather than just a complete install version. Probs is plan on upgrading all my customers sites, and with install, i need to do all the database stuff and need to know the main admin user name and pwd for the customers site, i don't really want to have to create a new user etc, and then contact customers with the new login details, or is it a case of whatever username and password i create, the existing main admin one will still log the customer into their site, or will it be overwritten with the new one i create, may get complicated, or is there a way to bypass the install.php file

For me, everything works excellent after upgrading to version 25 rc1.
One request, question. Could you describe, explain, the (10) SID value?

@akogo - MikeyGMY gave a link to the wiki release notes which describes it: [-link-]

@lutonwebs, as it's only a release candidate' there is only the full version for testing by all those willing to do so.

You will get an upgrade package for e107 v0.7.25 final as soon as any 'niggles' (if any) are ironed out

Lutonwebs, my guess is that SID stands for session ID. Basically when you are browsing to a website, it creates a session ID and this will be used for as long as you do not close the browser. When settings the etoken security level to 10, on each page it will generate a new SID (session ID) whereas this normally does so every visit (until the browser closes). Hope that answers your question.

Sure answered the question m8 thankyou, however it wasn't me that was asking about it. I had already read the wiki lol, shame others (not you) dont read the thread topic from the beginning then half the posts won't be needed.

I am constantly working on the wiki; addressing questions as fast as I can. "Session ID" was just "SID" a few minutes ago

Keep the questions comments coming

Ok not sure if its a bug or not. As you know i'm a massive WYSIWYG fan. Ive upgraded 2 sites. The first site is fine, but on the 2nd site i have some of the icons missing, i.e pic add, flash add etc.
Ive reinstalled .25 rc1 again and overwote files, and they are still missing. I remember on the .24 rc i tested i suffered same problems. Also if using wysiwyg, and you are centralising the text and or post, upon saving and viewing the text it automatically just renders to left alignment. Ive tested in both a menu and a page. If i turn of wysiwyg and use the centre align shortcode it works fine.

Any ideas?

Chrs.

Did you happen to check if this is a browser issue? For example; does this behaviour only occur when using Firefox, or IE, or?

I'll test it out myself as well, will you know.

Tested in firefox and chrome. But odd how its working on one site but not the other. There was a simple answer to the issue last time it occured, so im tracking through my forum posts back to .24 rc2 to see if i can find the answer.

Cheers.

Gary

Clearing the cache's is an important step - the old code will be held locally rather re-downloaded - saves you bandwidth. Also do the Database checks, as there are some DB changes.

Done and done. There were 2 issues that required fixing relating to an ipaddresse validation, i ticked the boxes and pressed fix and resolved. Cleared cache again im bemused once again. Sure there's a simple answer, or somethig im missing.

There are new indexes on some tables. These help the database return the results more quickly. Your site should run a little more quickly.

I fixed it, by following the advice when i suffered issues from.24 rc2. I found the thread and it advised to rename the e107_handlers folder, and reupload it again. Done that, cleared browser cache, and the icons are back. So glad e107 lets you track back your forum threads
