Why are comments off?

most likely because a lot of people were posting problems in the comments instead of the forum and bugtracker, but i'm not 100% sure.

Shame, but people kept ignoring the requests to ask support questions in the forum

I (personally) think Cameron has made the correct choice in not allowing comments on the last 2 item
