e107.org: Comments

New version available - 0.7.5

The newest release of e107 is now available for your enjoyment. This version includes many bugfixes and a few security related fixes. You are stongly encouraged to update to the latest version.

These new release files were created a bit differently than in the past, I have written a script to automate the entire process now and this is the first run of it. The files have been tested by a few people and seem to be fine though, so hopefully we will see no problems.

Here's a highlight of the changes:

* Fixed a few possible mysql injection issues
* Some mysql optimizations
* Chatbox post recalc now works
* Fixed emailing exploit
* User display name no longer reset if updating profile
* Poll votes now registered when using cookie mode
* Fixed login problem when updating from older versions
* Comments are now removed when related news, poll, and download are deleted.
* Several cache related fixes
* Fileinspector now seems fixed in *nix and windows
* Bounced email checking added
* Forum parent name added to forum breadcrumb
* Several other miscellaneous fixes

For anyone interested: there are some upcoming changes to the content management plugin, some bugfixes and new and improved features. some are already reported in bugtracker comments. However, these changes are not yet added into this release, but we're hoping to get them in into the next release. so still some patience required ...

It's a good version but I see that the install folder not exist in the new version.

It's all in one file now (install.php).

The cache isues I had (reported) have been resolved. So these can be removed from the bugtracker. Great Job!

Nice! A new version!

@McFly: When I extract the tarball and check the directory contents:

$ find . | wc 642 642 22936 $

Then remove the empty directories like this:

$ find . -type d -depth -exec rmdir {} \; 2> /dev/null $ find . | wc 477 477 17532 $

I get rid of 165(!) entries. Is it sensible to adjust the script to skip these empty dirs to reduce clutter in the upgrade file?

i tryed but don't work damn

I think i know where is problam
I go to check validity of e107 database and i got this error
ALTER TABLE `e107_user` DROP `FULLTEXT` - Update Unsuccessful
I have on my page gold hack from

and when you install this hack you must chanage *Go to e107_user table
*Drop user_prefs...

Turbo_1 That is a problem with all hacks that update existing tables. I am working on something to help stop that problem but it's just in it's infancy right now.
